It’s hard to think about 2019 when 2018 isn’t over yet, but if you’re planning to jazz up your home décor next year it’s always good to stay ahead of the game. We have scoured around to get you the hottest home looks in complimentary decor coming in the next season.
Wall murals and word art for walls is pretty much null and void, however unique patterns and styles for both wallpaper and tiling are appearing in all the trend guides for 2019. Designs such as galaxy murals, cosmic colours and metallic zodiac patterns have been popping up more and more and we are big fans. So much so that we have collaborated with Joy Jen Studio to create a bespoke range of coffee tables with handpainted patterns cosmic creations with rich pigments and a metallic highlight. More information to come soon, but for now check out a couple of Joy Jen’s current artwork below.
Not that we are biased but this sounds like a trend that we can get on board with! Dark stained wood and rustic aesthetics in style firmly in place within the home but coming in for kitchens are natural, light wood surfaces. Fans of the Scandinavian style are in luck as this design style is hugely inspired by their fresh, clean look. What does seem to be a striking trend is teaming natural wood with brightly coloured appliances such as mint green stoves or metallic sinks. Metal shelving is also replacing high up, hard to reach cabinets, removing clutter and adding personality.
Going back to green
Earthy tones for the home such as chestnut browns and leafy greens have been found popping up in furniture, cushions, curtains and throws. If you are wanting some warm tones whilst keeping on-trend, sand and terracotta are wonderful colours to give your home a calm, earthy feel and you can add a little metallic Rose Gold to enhance the glitz. Plants, both real and faux are also big home additions for the next season. With the power to transform any living space, plants can add warmth, freshness and even elegance to an interior space. Why not try taking inspiration from the Pantone colour of the year 2017, Greenery, which is still being heavily incorporated into stylist’s arrangements today.
